We knew this day was coming, but that doesn’t make it any easier.

Animal Kingdom

Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be seeing some major changes over the course of the next few years with DinoLand U.S.A. being rethemed to the Tropical Americas (where we’ll be getting a new Encanto attraction, an Indiana Jones attraction, and a carousel inspired by Disney animals), but there’s another change that’s happening SOONER. We now know when It’s Tough To Be A Bug will play its last show.

On March 17th, 2025, It’s Tough to Be a Bug will permanently close. The last day to see the show is March 16th.

It’s Tough to be a Bug!

It’s Tough To Be A Bug is located inside the Tree of Life in Animal Kingdom and has been entertaining guests since April 22nd, 1998. This 4D show brings guests into the world of A Bug’s Life, where the bugs are putting on a talent show for the humans to show them how great it is to really be a bug and how we shouldn’t see them as pests. However, Hopper comes in and decides to kick things up a notch, and kinda…well, starts scaring the humans.

It’s Tough to Be A Bug

It’s definitely a show that could scare young kids, especially because of those 4D elements. Regardless of the scares, it’s been a beloved show for years, but Disney announced that it would be replaced with a Zootopia show called “Zootopia: “Better Zoogether.” We knew that the show is set to debut in the park in Winter 2025, but of course, it’s gonna take a little while for the show to be ready for audiences, so we’re not surprised to hear that construction is on the way.

Disney just released a video of Ginnifer Goodwin, the voice actress for Judy Hopps, working on the new show.
