DEER PARK, NY — A new health-conscious eatery is coming to Deer Park soon.

SoBol—a cafe specializing in acai bowls, green bowls, fruit smoothies, and more—celebrated its grand opening on Jan. 22 at 1912 Deer Park Avenue.

It’s the second SoBol for owners Nikki Rashid, and her husband, Mohammed Asif, who opened their first and second SoBol locations in 2024.

Rashid told Patch that the couple, both first-generation immigrants hailing from Pakistan (Asif) and East Africa (Rashid), moved to the U.S. with the “hopes of living the American dream.”

“My husband was interested in franchising with SoBol because his family members had tried it. So after inquiring we opened our first store in Bayside in March 2024, our second store in August 2024, and this is our third location in Deer Park,” Rashid said. “He was looking to open here for a long time and was not getting an ideal location. With the help of corporate, we were able to find this great location.”

SoBol’s menu features healthy and decadent meals, such as breakfast “egg bites,” waffles, smoothies, and bowls with a wide variety of toppings—think nuts, fruits, seeds, berries, and chocolate.

The Long Island-based chain currently has over 100 locations in 10 states, including over 50 in New York.

SoBol Deer Park is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
