The lost journals of late Alice in Chains singer Layne Staley will be published as a book, titled “This Angry Pen: The Lost Journals of Layne Staley.”
The 176-page collection, which showcases Staley’s handwritten lyrics, deeply personal poetry, stunning original artwork, rare photos and fan tributes, will be released on November 11.
The book is by Weldon Owen Publishing and distributed by Simon & Schuster.
The hardcover copy is available to pre-order on Amazon for $40.

Staley was the co-founder of a new band called Alice N’ Chains in 1986. The band was renamed to Alice in Chains the next year.
Staley died on April 5, 2002, due to a drug overdose.
